2010 Animation Demo Reel

This is my 2010 animation Demo reel, compiled from many animation projects I've worked on.

While my strongest point is Flash I've also worked with stop motion, 3D Max, XSI, Maya, ToonBoom, and traditional pencil tests.

(2) 0:08-0:17 / Rooftop Fight -2009 / StopMotion Animation
Avid built both armatures, built the stage and building, then used a photograph/poster for the cityscape. Avid then animated the scene through stop motion techniques, which involved using screws to hold the character's feet to the floor (this is why there are holes in the rooftop.)

(3) 0:18-0:21 / AvidLebon Intro - 2007 / Flash
This animation was created for AlbinoBlacksheep.com to be part of a series where the animators of the site introduced themselves to viewers.

(4) 0:22-0:24 /DragonSnap - 2009 / Pencil Test

(5) 0:25-0:33 / Unmasked -2008 / Pencil Test & Flash
This shows how Avid started with a rough animated pencil test and then shape it into a smooth animated element. The mask element was then added to the the final production.

Avid created this character from sculpey and did the animation

This animation was created for AlbinoBlacksheep.com as a Valentines Day special.

(13) 1:36 -1:42 / Butterfly Attack / Stop Motion
Avid created the characters from construction paper, and then animated the scene. Anything that changed shape (such as when the character blinks) had to be made from separate pieces of paper. A photo of this process is available here: 14 1:43 - 1:44 / Neko Hop - 2008 / Maya
