Yarn Tail that looks like real fur!

This is yarn. [link] YARN! I thought it looked neat so if I ever get time again in the future I thought it would be neato to make my own tail! It's a bit thicker than a boa, yet still moves in the breeze unlike a fabric sewn tail that comes with most cat ear headbands. Just need yarn, a hair straightener, and a wire cat brush.

I wonder if it might be possible to make a matching wig for an avid costume for halloween, or heck even do that to yarn for custom ears if I didn't want to use faux fur fabric? I plan to start with a tail first and see how that goes.

Does anyone know anything about the yarn used for fly fishing? They make some that glows in the dark, but I don't know if it is like normal yarn (and work in the way shown above) or not. Regular yarn that glows in the dark is VERY expensive as the companies making it are overseas and the one in the states that use to discontinued it.

If anyone makes a tail you should use detangler or leave in conditioner on it otherwise it fuzzes up pretty quickly when actually worn. Not sure if anyone else would be interested in making one, though I thought many NekoJin (Anime Cat Girls/cosplayers) would appreciate this above crappy store options- not sure if any furries watch me anymore. Furries don't seem to like me for the most part for some odd reason. Anyway, yarn is cheap, who doesn't want an awesome looking accessory for cheap?

Edit: Found a supplier that sells Glow in the dark yarn. It's from Korea and there is a minimum amount. I believe an individual would have to order 10 skeins at about $4.00 + shipping from me (Chicago) to you.
